Return & Refund Policy

Clear guidelines on publication fee refunds, withdrawals, and cancellation requests.

Overview

IJRDO Publication charges Article Processing Charges (APC) to cover editorial, peer review, production, and open-access hosting costs. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued and the process for requesting them.

⚠️ Important Note:

Once a manuscript has entered the peer-review process or been published, refunds are generally not available. Please review this policy carefully before submitting payment.

Refund Eligibility

Full Refund (100%)

  • Duplicate payment made in error
  • Payment received before manuscript submission
  • Manuscript rejected before peer review begins
  • Technical error causing overcharge

Partial Refund (50%)

  • Withdrawal within 7 days of payment
  • Manuscript not assigned to reviewer (7-14 days)
  • Author requests cancellation before review

No Refund (0%)

  • Manuscript under active peer review
  • Manuscript accepted for publication
  • Paper already published online
  • Withdrawal after 14 days of payment
  • Author fails to respond to revision requests
  • Plagiarism or ethical violations found

Cancellation Policy

Authors may request cancellation of their submission under the following conditions:

Manuscript Withdrawal Policy

Authors may withdraw their manuscript at any stage by submitting a formal withdrawal request to the editorial office. However, refund eligibility depends on the stage of processing:

How to Request a Refund

Submit Formal Request

Email our finance department with your manuscript ID, payment receipt, and reason for refund.

Review Period

We will review your request within 5-7 business days.

Approval Notification

You'll receive an approval or denial email with detailed explanation.

Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 10-14 business days via original payment method.

Special Circumstances & Exceptions

Journal Cancellation

If IJRDO Publication ceases operations or cancels a journal issue, 100% refunds will be issued to all affected authors.

Duplicate Payment

Full refund of the duplicate amount will be processed within 48 hours of verification.

Currency Conversion

Refunds are issued in USD. Any currency conversion losses or gains are the author's responsibility.

Force Majeure

Extraordinary circumstances may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Editorial Board.

Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with our refund decision, you may:

  • Request a formal review by the Editorial Board (within 30 days of decision)
  • Submit a complaint to our Ombudsman Office
  • File a dispute with your payment provider (PayPal, Stripe, etc.)
  • Seek mediation through academic publishing ethics committees (COPE, OASPA)

All disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
